THE INLAND BASQUE COUNTRY

Superb preserved landscapes, a rich cultural heritage, renowned gastronomy...

Located between Bayonne and Pamplona, at the foot of the Pyrenees, the inland Basque Country is a destination much appreciated by all those seeking calm and serenity in the heart of authentic and preserved nature. Forests, pastures, mountains, crystal clear waters, waterfalls that you can discover by taking the hiking trails to meet the green Aldudes valley. 8 minutes from the hotel, in the village of Banca, you can follow the guided tour of the famous copper mines which will take you to its doors in a small boat. 20 minutes away, you will find Saint-Etienne-de-Baïgorry, in Basque “red river” referring to its roofs of the same color and especially to its famous Irouléguy vineyard, a charming stopover with its small church classified as a historic monument which houses a magnificent organ built in 1930. From there, you can climb to the Col d'Ispéguy located on the Franco-Spanish border.

The ideas for activities and leisure activities are endless in our beautiful Basque Country. Whether it's fishing or hunting in season, hiking, mountain biking... There are many circuits around the Aldudes valley that will delight fans!
